Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born March 4, 1954 is an actress from Canada. O'Hara has been awarded a range of awards including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In addition, she was awarded two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honoured with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. She first came to the attention of an actor in the year 1974 when she was a member of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. Along with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara received high praise for her comedy writing and acting skills and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for the Variety Series in 1982. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
